Morfeld Ray Architects has completed 4 separate projects at the Chandler Municipal Airport. Three projects were a series of ground up pre-fabricated airplane hangers to house personal aircraft. These projects required MRA to coordinate heavily between the Owner, Airport Authority, City Municipality and the contractor. Each project faced its own set of hurdles however, by having all parties working together, each was successfully completed on time and budget.

 

The most recent project to be completed by Morfeld Ray Architects was a cosmetic upgrade to an existing hanger that housed an airplane mechanic shop. The owner hired MRA to review options to esthetically upgrade the facility which was a stipulation from the City to continue their land lease. During the design phase, a storm caused extensive damage to the facility causing the project to be put on an extended hold. Ultimately MRA was tasked with integrating the storm damage repairs into
the facility upgrade, allowing for a better end product for the client.
